This is the first of two episodes on the topic of Business as Mission (BAM).
On this episode Tim talks with BAM expert Mike Baer to lay a foundation on what exactly is meant by the term Business as Mission, and then on the following episode we will get into the specifics of ABC’s own BAM initiative – African Business Institute (ABI) – as we hear from the President and Vice President of ABI, Jun Shiomitsu and Marcelo Vieira.
Mike Baer is a pioneer and innovator in the contemporary business as mission movement going back to the early 1990’s. He is the author of several books on the subject including: Business as Mission: The Power of Business in the Kingdom of God; 2IC: Business as Mission for the Rest of Us; Gospel Entrepreneur: How to Start a Kingdom Business; Breaking Down the Sacred-Secular Divide; and Business as Mission When You’re Not the Boss: BAM for the Rest of Us.
Mike is the founder and CEO of Third Path Initiative which equips business leaders all around the world for starting and running Kingdom businesses.
